Kim, Eric, and Tom
Our characters in this story are three bright young students from America who decided to study abroad during and after high school. With their help, we get a glimpse of what is going to school would be like in three very different countries.
From a small town in Oklahoma to one of the top education systems in the world, Kim travels to Finland and finds everything she didn't receive back home. With more autonomy, well educated teachers and in depth learning, Kim falls head over heals in love with the education superpower of the world.
Just out of high school, Eric travels to South Korea in search of relaxation and a good time before heading off to college. Little did he know he would soon find himself in the 'pressure cooker' of the world's education systems. Where students study day and night to outscore their neighbor and become the best they can possibly be even if it means going around the law.
When people think of Poland, the first thing that pops into their head is usually not 'rising education superstar'. This was not Tom's first thought either. Instead, he finds himself in a country that, despite their immense poverty rate and horrific past, is quickly ascending the ranks of education and catching the entire world by surprise.
